I agree with your indignant correspondents. Council Leader Peter John should stop wriggling and take responsibility for Southwark Council’s blunder in failing to get its legal challenge to the super-sewer submitted in time.

I think he owes it to residents around Chambers Street Bermondsey to sack the Council officer responsible and ask the relevant cabinet member to resign. I don’t suppose it will happen though. So could Southwark News at least tell us who the guilty parties are, and what they are paid to represent our interests?
