Traders views on CPZ should carry equal weight

There is bound to be a knock-on effect

One might question whether Lordship Lane traders’ views should take equal weighting to the residents in the amended CPZ for East Dulwich.

Whereas business owners are strongly against, some will say anything that reduced traffic on our roads, encourages people to walk and use public transport, and helps prevent parking chaos outside their homes should be encouraged.

The new boundary skirts around the shopping area, but shop owners are right to say that they’ll still be affected – wherever a CPZ is introduced, there is bound to be a knock-on effect elsewhere.
