Schemes co-produced by and aimed at young people in the borough will be eligible for the grants.
The council hopes Positive Futures Fund will help divert young people from violent crime.
Councillor Evelyn Akoto said: “At each stage of the project, from design to decision making, young people are a key part of the process.
“As a council, we want young people to know that they have a say in their future and we want them to work with us to shape the services they use.”
The grants are available to schemes that deal with key issues such as knife crime and health.
Applications for grants for one year projects worth £15,000 must be submitted by the Friday, May 3, 2019.
The second phase of the scheme offering £50,000 grants for 2.5 year long projects will open to applications from June 26.
