Jacqueline Carpenter took early retirement three years ago and decided to write a book based on her grandmother’s tales of life in Bermondsey. Her first book, Louisa, told of a young girl growing up during the war and her second novel, Joan, has now been published to much acclaim.
Joan is a heartwarming tale of family life set in Bermondsey and Kent during 1950s. World War Two is over and Great Britain is celebrating. Jacqui says, ‘Join Louisa, her lovable family and quirky friends for a decade in their lives as they encounter love, happiness, sorrow, deceit, strength and human kindness.’
Joan is the second in a trilogy, and Jacqueline is currently writing her third novel.
Joan and Louisa are both available on Amazon and Kindle. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08HGZWBQS
