Staff at St Michael’s Catholic College in Bermondsey have congratulated students on their GCSE results and thanked their families for their support during the pandemic.
Among the students with the best results were Isabel Biakpara, Dylan Agyemang and Juliana Cano, whose exceptional performances meant they are eligible for places on the St Michael’s sixth form honours and Oxbridge pathway, principal Felicity Corcoran said.
Ms Corcoran added: “Every student approached the assessments that the college used to determine their grades with resilience and determination and it has been a privilege to support and guide our students during this very challenging time. We would like to thank all of our teachers and support staff for doing their utmost to ensure students were supported at every step of the way during their GCSEs, both on the college site and during required periods of remote learning.
“We would also like to thank all of the students’ families for working together with us and for the support they have shown to their children and to the college in extremely difficult circumstances. We wish all the Year 11 students well with their next steps and we know they have bright futures ahead of them.”
