A woman has been charged with attempted GBH following a linked series of attacks on women in East Dulwich, say police.
In a statement issued last week, a Met spokesperson confirmed that Marie Archer, aged 53 (b.06.12.67) from Wood Vale near Sydenham was charged on Thursday, June 17, with attempted GBH with intent, GBH with intent, and two counts of threatening with a bladed article in a public place.
She was remanded in custody and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on the same day.
Archer was arrested by detectives from the South East Command Unit who were investigating four separate attacks that took place between Friday, June 11 and Sunday, June 13, all in Wood Vale.
It is reported, one victim was assaulted, two victims were threatened with a knife, and another victim was wounded with a knife.
No further details about the suspect can be shared at present due to legal reasons.
It was earlier reported:
“He just stopped and I managed to run and call 999. They said a car would arrive within an hour. At this point I could still see him on the street.”
This first female victim was quite sure that she was attacked by a male offender.
The police appear to have charged a woman which is clearly the wrong person.
Are we witness to a travesty of justice?
