A 53-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to various violent offences after a spate of attacks on women around Wood Vale last year.
Marie Archer, 53, (06/12/67), of Wood Vale, Forest Hill, admitted to one count of grievous bodily harm with intent, one count of actual bodily harm and two counts of threatening another with an article with a point or blade on May 31, 2022.

Police said the charges relate to four separate incidents, in which one victim was assaulted, two victims were threatened with a knife, and another where one victim ‘sustained a knife wound’. Fortunately, officers told the News her ‘injuries were not life threatening.’
The attacks were reported to have taken place between Friday, June 11 and Sunday, June 13, 2021. In one incident, it was originally reported that a mum was accosted in front of her ten-year-old son.
Marie Archer was charged on Thursday, 17 June 2021 with attempted GBH with intent, GBH with intent and two counts of threatening with a bladed article in a public place.
The offences she pleaded guilty to differed slightly from those she was charged with.
Archer will be sentenced on August 15.
