Nominations have opened for this year’s Southwark Civic Awards which recognises exceptional achievements and contributions to the community, writes Callum Burroughs…
The awards are open to individuals and groups with nominations closing on March 29.
A ‘Liberty Award’ for Camberwell, Bermondsey and Southwark will be given out to three residents, along with a Young Citizen of the Year award.
The civic ceremony will be hosted by the Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Dora Dixon-Fyle, in Southwark Cathedral on May 14.
Nominations can be submitted through the council’s website or through nomination forms available from the Mayor’s office in Tooley Street.
