This weekend’s Nunhead Art Trail will be a free celebration of arts and crafts and a chance to meet local artists, Emma Snaith writes.
More than 90 local artists will exhibit their works in their own homes, studios and local Nunhead venues.
A range of other events will take place across the trail, running on Saturday and Sunday, September 23 and 24, including a folk performance, guided walk and poetry reading.
Ivydale Primary School and Hollydale Primary School will also open their doors to exhibit work by pupils.
Several events will be held at the Nunhead Cemetery including a dance performance and a short photography walk.
Even the streets of Nunhead will transform into a gallery with local artists displaying their unique drawings in shop windows.
Caroline, one of the Nunhead Trail organisers, said: “It’s a wonderful opportunity to walk around Nunhead, meet artists in the informal setting of their homes and studios and talk, browse and buy art at affordable prices.”
The Nunhead Art Trail takes places across Nunhead on Saturday 23 – Sunday 24 September, 11am-6pm
