James Allen’s Girls’ School has once again shown why it is regarded as one of Southwark’s most academic schools.
Today students were celebrating their success after 71 per cent of all entries graded A*-A.
More than half the pupils achieved at least three A*s or As.
In the newly reformed Maths, 84 per cent of candidates from JAGS were awarded A* or A.
Head of Maths, Natalie Plant, said: “The maths department are absolutely thrilled with the A Level results for Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
“This is our first cohort to study the new linear course and the results are a testament to the incredible hard work of the staff and students; we couldn’t be more delighted.”
Anisha Mace received a stunning A*A*AA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics.
She will be studying Economics and Management at Oxford, telling the News: “I’m really pleased.
“It wouldn’t have been possible without all the hard work of the teachers at JAGS who have been so helpful at every step.
“I’m so excited to go to Oxford and see what the future holds.”
