Nearly a third of all students at St Michael’s Catholic College achieved at least one A or A* in this year’s A Level results.
Vice principal Charlotte Sayed told the News the school was ‘delighted’ with its students’ performances in A Level and vocational courses.
She said: “The college congratulates all the students who will be taking up places to begin their undergraduate studies in such diverse subjects as law, mathematics, history and politics, computer science, psychology, French and economics, to name but a few.
“The students will be joining their fellow St Michael’s Alumni at prestigious institutions such as Warwick, Southampton, Cardiff, Leeds, Keele, Sussex, Kent, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham and Queen Mary’s. We wish them every success in the future.
“As ever, these outstanding achievements reflect the magnificent efforts of the students as well as the support of their parents and the commitment of the outstanding teachers and support staff at St Michael’s Catholic College.”
