A group of men, allegedly in possession of a gun, are claimed to have threatened to kill a member of the public after a row over social distancing.
The Met’s firearms command was urgently dispatched to Walworth last night at around 9.45 pm on Sunday, May 10, after a report of a man seen with a gun.
Officers, including firearms officers, attended and a number of males were arrested while a search was carried out.
Threats were believed to have been made after an argument over the lockdown rules.
But after no firearm was found the males were subsequently ‘de-arrested’, a police spokesperson confirmed.
