Babygrows designed to save a child’s life will be available outside Tesco Surrey Quays this week, writes Kirsty Purnell…
Designed by St John Ambulance and supermarket Tesco, the garments remind parents of CPR procedures, if their child stops breathing.
Featuring Humpty Dumpty, the babygrow design highlights the puff-to-pump ratio which is used in infant CPR, using the nursey rhyme to jog memory. Resuscitation procedures are also sewn into the garment’s collar and tag.
The products are available at no charge, with a suggested donation of £3 going to St John’s Ambulance.
Parents can also benefit from a free baby CPR demonstration on the day, between 9.45am and 2pm.
Parents can pick up their babygrows between 9.45am and 4.30pm on Thursday, October 13 at the Surrey Quays store.
