Bermondsey and Old Southwark constituents will be able to vote digitally on every piece of legislation discussed in parliament – if a 25-year-old history graduate is elected as MP in May’s election.
Lucy Hall is running as an independent candidate and promises to introduce “direct democracy” to residents, which she says she will implement through a smart-phone app.
She said: “Technology can make us more democratic. We bank online, we shop online, why don’t we vote online? Vote for me, and I pledge to represent your views in parliament.”
