A man who threatened a community support officer with a bottle and then caused criminal damage to a police cell has been jailed for four weeks.
Maciej Slawomir Wojcik, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of a Section 4 Public Order offence and of causing criminal damage at Camberwell Magistrates Court on June 27.
He had been spotted behaving “in a disorderly manner” in Snowfields the day before. The community officer confiscated his alcohol, at which point Wojcic “became very aggressive.”
He threatened the officer with a bottle and back-up was called. He was then taken to a police cell which he damaged.
Police Seargent Hunt said: “This is a good result. I was first on scene to the incident and the PCSO who was just trying to do his job was very shaken up.”
