A man was robbed and injured in Bermondsey this afternoon (Thursday September 16) in an attack that took place in broad daylight on a residential street.
The attack took place in Rossetti Road on the Stevenson Crescent Estate. Police could not confirm details about the victim, but he appeared to be middle-aged and did not speak English as his first language. As of 5.15pm on Thursday he was on the ground while being helped by emergency services workers.
No one has been arrested yet.
A spokesperson for the Met told the News: “Police were called at approximately 17:00hrs on Thursday, 16 September to reports of a man robbed in Rossetti Road, SE16.
“The man, no further details, suffered a leg injury during the incident.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. No arrests; enquiries continue.”
