A man has died this morning after ‘falling from height’ in Bermondsey’s Marden Sqaure, just off Drummond Road.
The emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.20am to reports of the man’s fall.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 5.47am, said police.
Next-of-kin have yet to be informed, while the death is currently being treated as “unexplained”.
There are currently road closures in and around the road, including Marden Square, while police make their enquiries.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
Compass School, which is on Drummond Road, is open as normal, despite the road closures.
Parents have been reassured by school staff that the site is safe and that it will send any updates as-and-when is necessary.
