A section 60 was in place in Herne Hill and surrounding areas after a boy was stabbed on Thursday afternoon in Brockwell Park.
The teenager was attacked in the middle of the afternoon – at 2.21pm – on July 30.
The Met said it was called to the park after reports of a group of boys fighting with knives.
The victim was found nearby with stab injuries and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He is now believed to be ‘stable’.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident.
Southwark MPS imposed the order for SE5, SE17, SE24 and SW9 over fears of ‘rising violence in the area’.
As the News has reported, a series of stabbings have taken place over the last few weeks as lockdown is lifted, including fatal attacks in Kennington and West Dulwich.
A Section 60 order has been authorised for the SW9, SE5, SE17 and SE24 post code areas.
This has been authorised by Inspector Howlett and runs between 2000 hours on the 31/07 and 0800 hours on the 01/08
This is due to concerns regarding an increase in violence in the area.
