Businesses in the London Bridge area are being asked to vote for plans to make it among the most ‘culturally innovative’ in the world.
The appeal comes from Team London Bridge, which runs the Business Improvement District (BID) for the area.
It has run the BID since 2006, and now its latest five year plan is up for approval. According to the BID, a majority ‘yes’ vote would see £11m reinvested into the London Bridge area.
‘We have tried to see beyond the extremely difficult circumstances we are all currently in to present a plan that not only eases the impact of the pandemic, but will help businesses build back strongly and reinvent areas of our working lives that can be more sustainable, healthy and enjoyable,” said the organisation.
“Team London Bridge is proud of how we were able to pivot in 2020 and make sure our services remained relevant and supportive of our members.
“These experiences will make us stronger and more resourceful as we reposition ourselves for the five-years ahead.”
Businesses within the area are being posted their ballot papers in the coming days. Voting lasts until February 25.
Details of the voting process are available at ourlondonbridge.co.uk or by emailing henry@teamlondonbridge.co.uk.
The Bankside one has been great.
Team London Bridge, not so great. Not sure whether it’s worth it for the same approach.
