Police have released CCTV pictures of two men they want to speak to in connection with a robbery at Waterloo station.
The victim boarded a London Overground service on the afternoon of March 24, and travelled to Canada Water station and then got on a westbound Jubilee Line service.
During the earlier journey, two men were staring at him, and stood directly behind him on the Tube, police said.
At Waterloo Station, one of his Apple wireless headphones were forcibly removed on the escalators by the same two men.
He followed them to challenge them – and was punched a number of times by one of them on nearby Mepham Street.
The two suspects then ran off towards Waterloo Bridge and the IMAX.
DC Vanessa Cadrecha-Paolucci, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who refused to let two men take his items, however this sadly resulted in him being punched a number of times.
“We simply will not tolerate this on the Tube network and are today looking to identify the men in this CCTV image.
“I believe they hold vital information so would urge anyone with information on who they are to get in touch.”
