Pupils from Charlotte Sharman School came out in force at the Elephant and Castle to raise awareness of plastic pollution.
The Year Two class, taught by Leah Dawson, handed out leaflets to passers-by as they marched with their placards and banners on January 31.
Ms Dawson explained: “I think it’s important the children get as many real-life, memorable experiences alongside their learning in the classroom.
“They are learning that even at six-years-old, their impact matters and they can change the world.
“Since then they have all written a letter to the queen and posted it to Buckingham palace, asking her to help do more to tackle the problem.
