Amid shifts officers from Peckham fully geared up in their uniforms are doing burpees in relay for nineteen hours today to raise money for NHS charities.
The response teams based out of Peckham Station have joined the CrossFit Heathrow team, who started up the challenge.
The CrossFit teams wanted to show support for the NHS and Key Workers during Covid 19, saying “with three of the team working in the NHS and still working out altogether virtually we are in awe of their dedication!”
From 7am today til 2am tomorrow the burpees relay is taking place – this is across three shifts that the NHS work.
Crossfit Heathrow praised the officers from Peckham joining in saying: “They see first hand ever day how hard their NHS colleagues work and the risk they face.
“The officers will be doing 15 minutes of burpees mostly in uniform , whilst still taking their calls, spread-across three teams to meet the 19 hour challenge.
“We invite you to support us all along the way by donating and following the challenge on Instagram.”
