Pepys Social Supermarket has seen a huge rise in demand during the lockdown.

Based in the Pepys Estate’s 2000 Community Action Centre, in Deptford,  the supermarket already gives up to 40 low-income households £25-worth of shopping for just £3.50 a week.

It now needs more funding to help more people experiencing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19.

Donations will help buy tinned food and non-perishable items in bulk.

Nearly £,4000 has been raised so far from 116 donors.
