The woman suffered "non life-threatening injuries."

A woman in her twenties was hospitalised on Monday after a collision between a cyclist and a lorry.

The incident occurred shortly before 10am at Southwark Street, close to the junction with Blackfriars Bridge.

The woman was taken to hospital with “non life-threatening” injuries, according to a Met police spokesperson.

The road was closed to eastbound traffic following the accident, adding to the borough’s rush-hour chaos which was already at a standstill due to construction works and a burst water main in Kennington.
