A video of Evelina nurses performing a twinkle-toed dance routine to celebrate the hospital’s tenth birthday celebration has gone viral online.
Thousands of people have watched the video on YouTube, called “Evelina nurses do The Strictly”, since it was posted last week.
The twenty nurses attracted national attention online with their dance moves – including the praise of Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara, It Takes Two presented Zoe Ball and television star Dr Ranj Singh, who gave the girls a perfect ten.
Victoria Felton, matron on the hospital’s Mountain Ward, brought members of her team together to perform the routine.
She said: “We had so much fun learning the dance together as a team and we haven’t stopped smiling since. I learned a lot about the hidden talents of the people I work with!”
