A fire that broke out in a Peckham flat this weekend is believed to have been caused by a dishwasher fault.
Part of the kitchen in the flat in Kelly Avenue was damaged by the blaze on Sunday evening (January 10).
Around fifteen people had left the four storey building before four fire engines arrived shortly after 8pm, with no one reported as injured.
Twenty-five fire fighters had the fire under control just over an hour later, by 9.15pm.
A dishwasher fault is currently being investigated as the cause.
