Two pedestrians including a man in his 70s have been seriously injured in an alleged ‘hit and run’ in Sydenham.
At around 2am on Sunday, June 20, a dark-coloured vehicle travelling south in Dartmouth Road collided with the elderly man and a woman in her 30s. Both remain hospitalised.
Officers say the vehicle failed to stop at the scene and have so far been unable to identify the make or model.
The Met has now launched an appeal to try and identify the driver.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone in Dartmouth Road at the time of the incident, including those with dashcam footage from the area.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call the serious collision investigation unit, based at Catford Bus Garage, on 020 8285 1574, or contact the police via 101.
Dartmouth Road, and particularly the spot where it happened, is in Forest Hill not Sydenham
