Electric Playbox is the latest business to reopen after lockdown, with the Scoresby Street venue now taking online bookings for its futuristic interactive group games.
Set up by Will Dean, who founded Tough Mudder, the Southbank-based immersive experience is described as ‘one of a kind’.
Its hour-long virtual adventures use state-of-the-art technology – the ‘playbox’- with touch screens, projection mapping and motion-tracking technology to create fully immersive group challenges.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to welcome people back to our popular London venue.” Dean told the News.
“The whole Electric Playbox team has done an amazing job ensuring our venue is safe – without losing any of the wow-factor that our ground-breaking virtual games deliver.”
To comply with safety regulations, the company is holding online check-in to minimise queues, staggering start time so groups can use separate doors, and has plenty of hand sanitiser, social distancing and thorough cleans after each session.
Electric Playbox is at Arch 3, 83 Scoresby Street, SE1 and costs £19 for adults and £9 for children at special reopening prices. Book via www.electricplaybox.com
