An Elephant and Castle playground wall has been given a touch of Kew Gardens with a new mural of wild flowers.
The artwork, commissioned by Kew’s Grow Wild award, has brightened up the pocket park at Elliott’s Row, originally created by ‘guerrilla’ gardeners Richard and Lyla Reynolds in 2013. Shropshire artist Sheila Jevons originally won the brief to create the mural but she was then tragically diagnosed with cancer and died earlier this year.
Her family passed on her original designs and these were given to artist Marc Craig, who completed the mural last week.
