A young dancer brought home the silverware last week after winning her first Irish dancing open championship.
Maisie Ryan, of the CullenWhelan School in Dulwich, impressed the judges at the McRoibin Feis in Rotherham last weekend.
Although she has only been at the school since March last year, she has rapidly risen through the ranks and won the U9 open championship.
Her teacher, Deborah Whelan, is ‘thrilled’ with her achievement and hopes that she will continue her success.
