A free Bollywood Dance class for those unable to stand is taking place at St Andrews Church this May, writes Josh Mellor…
The class is a one-off introduction to Bollywood style dancing where learners can either stand or sit down.
The free event is part of First Time for Everything programme that aims to give older people a chance to try something new.
Bollywood is a fusion of dance styles involving hand, foot, head and neck movements heavily influenced by classical Indian folk culture.
Dance company Absolute Bollywood will lead the class as part of a programme of workshops run by the Royal Voluntary Service and Prudential.
The class takes place on May 3 from 2pm-3:15 at St Andrews Church on Short Street, SE1 8LJ.
