A free jobs and apprenticeship fair will be held tomorrow at Peabody’s Darwin Court from 10am.
The event, held by Peabody and the Department for Work and Pensions, will offer advice and support on employment and training opportunities.
There will be stalls from the emergency services and sectors including construction, property and hospitality.
Exhibitors include Smart Works, Street League, and the Prince’s Trust.
Stephen Burns, Peabody’s executive director for care and communities, said: “This jobs and apprenticeships fair will bring together over 30 different employers and organisations offering opportunities and career support services for people living in Southwark and beyond.
“Not only will people who come along get to meet some great employers, everyone who is registered to the event will be contacted by one of our expert employment advisors for one-to-one employment support.
“It’s a free service that is available to anyone in the community.”
Last year Peabody helped more than 1,230 people into work. Support offered includes interview prep and practice as well as careers advice.
The fair runs from 10am – 3pm on Wednesday, November 13, at Darwin Court, Crail Row, SE17.
