Over 60 per cent of pupils at Bermondsey’s City of London Academy have scored Grades 4+ in English and Maths.
Over eighty per cent of GCSE pupils at the Lynton Road school scored grades 4+ in English alone, equivalent to an A*-C grade.
Headteacher Michael Baxter said he was ‘delighted’ to see so many ‘excellent achievements.’
“The results are a testament to the dedication of students, teachers and parents who have worked so hard to support each other at the school,” he said.
“A huge congratulations to all.”
The school is part of the City of London Academies Trust, whose chair also congratulated hard-working pupils for their successes.
“We know that our pupils couldn’t achieve the grades that they have done without the support from staff and parents,” said Andrew McMurtrie, Chair of the City of London Academies Trust.
“We wish each and every student good luck in the next stage of their lives.”
