Golden Oldies’ members haven’t let the pandemic stop them from keeping busy volunteering and befriending throughout Southwark.
The group which supports residents over 60 years of age from black and other ethnic minority backgrounds, has been holding regular zoom meetings with some special guests.
In June, Paul Canoville, Chelsea FC’s first black player, spoke to members about his life and career including how his mum, who came to England to train as a nurse at sixteen, reacted to his decision to pursue football as a career.
