The Bankside edition of the Great Get Together, an annual event held in memory of murdered MP Jo Cox, is taking place on Saturday (June 25) in Borough.
The free party, which will include a bake-off, sports events, face painting and a dog show among many other attractions, is taking place in Borough Market and nearby Borough Yards.

Activities include:
- The Bankside Bake-Off, Dog competition, Wacky races, Knit-a-thon
- Music, dance and special performances
- Activities for children like face painting, a ball pit, make your own cupcake, ice-cream, goodie bags and bubbles
- Opportunities to get involved in sports like badminton, basketball, football, rowing, cycling, skipping and more
- A chance to learn about Roman findings from the Museum of London Archaeology
- Opportunities to hear from developers U+I, CIT and Fabrix about their new buildings going up in the area
The event lasts from 12pm-6pm on Saturday and is part of a nationwide series of events commemorating Jo Cox, the Labour MP for Batley and Spen in West Yorkshire, who was killed in 2016.
