The beautifully renovated Camberwell Green has been awarded a green flag.

The national Green Flag Award scheme recognises well managed and outstanding public spaces.

Other local Green Flag winners include Pasley Park, Burgess Park, Ruskin Park, Warwick Gardens, Goose Green, Peckham Rye and Dulwich Park.

The unveiling was attended by Barbara Pattinson of the SE5 Forum and Friends of Camberwell Green, and the park’s managers.

Councillor Barrie Hargrove, Southwark Council cabinet member for communities, said it “reflects all the hard work and local investment that has gone into restoring the Green”.
