Shops in Herne Hill will take part in a charity cycle next weekend to raise money for Sport Relief, writes Callum Burroughs.
The fundraising stunt will see 30 participating shops cycling between one and ten miles over the course of the weekend on an exercise bike.
Each shop will volunteer a relay team or a committed individual with the current fundraising target standing at £500.
Fitness instructor Anne Fison, 26, who is organising the event, said: “Sport Relief is a fantastic way to bring our community together, while providing ample opportunity to get fit and healthy.”
Sport Relief has been running biennially since 2002 and has raised over £262m to improve the conditions of people in the UK and abroad.
This year’s event will take place on March 19 and 20 and is broadcast from the Olympic Park.
