2) Southwark
Southwark ran a close second, recording just 98 fewer crimes than Tower Hamlets in April.
However, you were less likely to be the victim of a violent attack in Southwark, with 648 ‘violence against the person’ incidents significantly lower than Tower Hamlets’ 860.
Southwark’s high crime rate is due largely to the staggeringly high prevalence of theft, of which there were 1060 incidents in April alone.
