Dulwich James Allen’s Girls’ School is celebrating a 100 per cent A Level pass rate, writes Jessica Aszkenasy…
All 228 girls who sat the exams passed this year, with 90 per cent of grades ranging from A to B. Seventy-six per cent of students achieved A*s or As and 38 per cent of all grades achieved were A*.
Pupil Emily Xu, pictured above, is heading to Imperial College London in September to study Chemical Engineering. Emily has won a scholarship and two awards for her research on separating molecules for the pharmaceutical industry.
“It’s been a long wait, but I’m relieved it’s over. I can’t wait to start at Imperial this September. A big thank you to everyone at JAGS and all the other people who have helped me along these past seven years,” she said.
Student Alice Miller, pictured above, is also going to Imperial College London to study medicine. She has been awarded the Ash Music Scholarship by the university for her talents on the harp. She is one of triplets and her brother Ben, who has just finished studying at Dulwich College, has received the same award.
“I am really happy and excited to be going to study medicine at Imperial. It’s a big relief and I am glad that all my hard work paid off,” she said.
