London’s finest pizzerias will battle it out to be crowned the capital’s champion at Borough Market next month.
The third London Pizza Festival will be hosted at Borough Market on May 28, where six pizza greats will go head-to-head to be named the capital’s best.
Eight hundred pizza lovers will have the chance to compare six different wood-fired pizzas and vote for their favourite to help crown a champion.
The 2017 line-up features two new Italian imports; the legendary L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele (Stoke Newington by way of Naples), and sourdough sensation Radio Alice (Shoreditch by way of Bologna); two pizzerias-on-wheels, Napoli on the Road (multiple locations), and Sud-Italia (Old Spitalfields); the traditional pizzeria and trattoria Addommè (Streatham Hill); and 2015 London Pizza Festival champion Made of Dough (Brixton).
A £28 ticket includes admission, one beer or soft drink, and six quarter-slices of pizza (one from each competitor).
The festival is organised by Young and Foodish.
