A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a father-of-one was knifed to death on Lordship Lane.
A 24-year-old man was arrested yesterday, on Wednesday February 13, and remains in custody in a south London police station.
Dennis Anderson, aged 39, is believed to have been attacked after an ‘altercation’ over cigarettes in an off-license in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A post-mortem held on Tuesday (February 12) recorded his cause of death as an ‘incised wound to the neck’.
Mr Anderson, from Lewisham, was found on Lordship Lane near the junction of East Dulwich grove at 2.35am on Sunday, February 10.
Detectives have renewed their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Inspector Domenica Catino, from the Met’s homicide and major crime command, said: “Although we have made an arrest, we still need to hear from anyone that may have been in the area on Sunday morning.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could really help our investigation.”
