A man who allegedly threatened another traveller with a knife at Herne Hill station was arrested in hospital on Monday, after sustaining a stab wound as he fled the scene.
British Transport Police officers were called to Herne Hill station at 6.20pm on Monday, December 17, following reports that a man had been threatened with a knife.
The suspect left the station and was later arrested in hospital on suspicion of attempted GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.
A spokesperson said: “The suspect left the station and in the process sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound.”
Officers said no one else was being sought in connection with the injury and the knife has been found at the scene.
