A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was stabbed to death in East Dulwich.
The 36-year-old was found seriously injured inside a Lordship Lane home after police were called to the property at 10pm on Friday, July 23.
The victim, who has not been named by police, died in hospital shortly after at 2am this morning.
In a statement issued this afternoon, a Met spokesperson said work is underway to locate and inform her next of kin.
A 49-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody at a south London police station.
Officers confirmed that at this stage of the investigation it is believed they were known to each other.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are now in the process of speaking to witnesses and those living in the vicinity of the attack.
