A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a collision left a sixteen-year-old motorbike rider fighting for his life.

The collision happened at around 2.40am on Saturday morning in Bermondsey’s Wilson Grove.

The teen bike rider remains in a critical condition in an east London hospital.

A car thought to have been involved did not stop at the scene, said police.

Today a 34-year-old man was arrested in south London on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in custody.

Police are continuing to carry out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.

The Met has asked any witnesses or those with information to contact them on 101, quoting CAD 1029/07MAR.
