A 22-year-old man was charged with attempted murder yesterday, and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Tarique Williams (b. 25.12.96), of no fixed abode, was also charged with possession of another firearm and with threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, October 26, and has been remanded in custody. He will appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, November 14.
The charges are part of a separate investigation into the circumstances surrounding what police say is a non-suspicious death after a man died from fatal gunshot injuries in Sydenham.
The 25-year-old was found injured on Venner Road on Sunday, September 8.
Officers say no one else is believed to have been involved in his death, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
