A man has died in the early hours of this morning after police believe he was stabbed in a ‘fight’ in Walworth.
Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the reported fight on Sutherland Walk, just off the Walworth Road, at 4.51am this morning.
Officers currently remain in place on the street.
The victim, thought to be in his twenties or thirties, is believed by officers to have taken himself to hospital in the early hours of this morning, suffering stab wounds.
Around the same time, emergency services were called to reports of the fight on Sutherland Walk but could not find a victim.
“The victim from the Sutherland Walk incident is believed to the male who self-presented at hospital,” a Met spokesperson told the News.
The victim was treated at hospital for his “serious” injuries but was pronounced dead at 7.23am.
No further details could yet be given about his identity and enquiries are ongoing to inform his next-of-kin.
A post-mortem will also be held in due course, said police.
