The Millennium Bridge has reopened after police safely removed an “unexploded World War Two ordnance” from the Southbank side this morning.
Officers were called to the scene at 10:45am after reports of a “shell” were found washed up on the beach.

A police spokesperson told the News that the ordnance was safely removed to be destroyed and the bridge was reopened shortly after 11:45am.
