Mystery still surrounds the circumstances that led to a teenager being found with a serious head injury at the entrance Rotherhithe Tunnel in the early hours of Friday morning.
Nearly a week has passed since police were flagged down at 4.19am and found the nineteen-year-old collapsed at the south-side entrance to the tunnel.
With investigators continuing their enquiries, the man remains in a critical condition in hospital. No arrests have yet been made.
Police believe they know the identity of the man and have informed next-of-kin.
Rotherhithe Tunnel was closed following the incident, leading to severe traffic problems in the surrounding area.
