A youth football team are the new kits on the block after being given team gear by a local pie ‘n’mash business.
Fisher FC’s U9’s Piranhas squad proudly lined up to show off their new football strip which were given to the squad by new sponsors, Bermondsey Pie ‘n’ Mash.
The youngsters – Ernie, Freddie, Freddie, Jamie, Teddy, Joshua, Oliver and Tye – were given the kit as part of a new sponsorship with the traditional pie business, founded in April 2018.
“I think it’s just nice to give something back to the community,” said Tammy Jukes, who co-founded the business alongside husband Jamie.
“We’re proud to be their sponsors, they’re a lovely bunch of kids.”
The Blue-based business has also pledged to continue supporting the local community in Bermondsey.
“Some of Fisher’s U9 Piranhas squad spent Saturday morning down at the Blue with new sponsors Bermondsey Pie & Mash showing off their brand new kit ready for the new season,” said Fisher FC.
“Bermondsey Pie and Mash is a local family run business located at the Blue market square who get their pies freshly made by legendary Manze’s and are committed to supporting the local community.
“Brilliant to have them on board as part of the Fisher family.”
Excellent news. Well done Bermondsey Pie & Mash!
