Police raided a premises on Bermondsey’s Blue yesterday morning under drug laws, but no arrests were made.
Officers from South Bermondsey’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team swooped on the shop on Southwark Park Road to execute a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
“Officers from the South Bermondsey Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a search warrant under S16 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 at a commercial premises in Southwark Park Road at 09:30hrs on Wednesday, 21 August,” said a Scotland Yard spokesperson.
He added: “No arrests were made. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
“This morning I’ve joined MPS Bermondsey executing a warrant at a shop in Southwark Park Road, SE16,” said Southwark Neighbourhood Inspector Owen Pyle yesterday.
“Specialist search teams have joined us to help out.”
The business has been contacted for comment.
